Kind words from Herpetologist James Rupert Wilkey
We are delighted to have received a wonderful reply from Herpetologist James Rupert Wilkey, who has been studying African snakes for over 40 years.
Having received our Tubes sets and (extra strong) Mini Collapsible Snake Hook, he writes...
Great talking to you today. First let me say a huge thank you for the amazing service.
The tubes are perfect and as for the collapsible snake hook, what can I say. ..... it looks and feels great and I can’t wait to test it in Morocco.
It was an extremely kind gesture and totally unexpected, so thank you.
As I said I’ve been studying African snakes for over 40 years, collecting over 6,000 individual specimens is the field.
At this point I am pleased to say I have never received a venomous bite as safety is paramount.
I am a big fan of the snake tubes as you can see from the photo of me with the tubed Puff Adder in Malawi.
I have published 20 books so far and currently working on snakes of Spain and Snakes of Morocco, hence the trip.
I work with a number of institutions including Harvard University, Cambridge University and the university of Morocco.
Locating a good supplier of equipment has proved difficult and in the past I have been forced to use a Snake & Reptile equipment supplier in the US, but as you know they are expensive and duty has to be considered.
Finding your company has been refreshing and I’ll be happy to promote you to my snake colleagues.
I will be delighted to field test your equipment and take promotional photos of it being used.
You are right, it’s the only way for fellow herpetologists to have confidence in the equipment when venomous snakes are concerned.
My first trip to Morocco is the 7th till the 13th of April then I’m back out there again on the 23rd till the 28th as part of an international team into the high Atlas Mountains.
I’m excited to test your products.
Very best wishes,
James Rupert Wilkey
